Frequently Asked Questions

Ask away but check to see what we get asked alot

Can I come if i can't swim?

Yes you can! The waters where we kayak are extremely shallow and you will be able to stand up at all times. We also require all participants to wear bouyancy aids at all times.

Is it safe for families?

Absolutely.  The waters were we kayak are sheltered and warm and all participants wear correctly fitted buoyancy aids at all times.  Tours are led by certified lifeguards and at no time will the group be more than a short paddle from the shore.

Do you have changing facilities?

Yes we do, we also have proper flush toilets and running water for showers for both male and female participants.  A beautiful prayer area is also available with separate ablutions

Is it too cold/hot?

Generally the weather is fantastic even in the middle of summer the water keeps you significantly cooler than on land.  That said we do monitor the weather closely and may cancel trips if conditions aren’t suitable for a safe and enjoyable experience

What about food?

We can provide a wide range of food options from our fantastic local suppliers.  The most popular is the Arabic BBQ meal.  We serve complimentary karak and fresh bottled water and you are welcome to bring your own packed lunch.

How do I get there?

Our tours start from our camp on Bin Ghanim (Purple) Island.  This is in Al Thakira just past Al Khor.  You can visit in any normal car.  When you make your booking you will receive full directions by email.
